Gangnam St. Mary’s Hospital, which was the first general hospital established in Gangnam area in 1980, has been delivering holistic treatment for the past 30 years. In March 2009, the hospital was newly born as Seoul Saint Mary’s Hospital with a state-of-the-art infrastructure to realize a new medical culture.
The Catholic University of Korea’s Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital is the largest single-building hospital in Korea with 22 floors above ground, 6 floors underground and 1,355 beds. It is the flagship hospital of the Catholic Medical Center with world-class medical staff and state-of-the-art medical equipment.
As the flagship hospital of the Catholic Church, we would like to be a model hospital that actively leads the implementation of spirituality of the Catholic Medical Center to “take care of those suffering from diseases by embodying the healing person, Jesus Christ, in us”.
We will foster younger doctors who will offer true state-of-the-art medical cares with a sincere sense of mission, provide medical services full of love to poor and marginalized individuals, do creative research based on Catholic ethics, and become a model hospital that is loved by all.
Based on “the unchanging spirit of respect for life” in “a hospital centered on specialized centers and thinking about patients first”, a “21st century state-of-the-art medical system hospital” and “advanced hospital in an eco-friendly space”, we will provide “world premier medical services and fast medical treatment centered on patients”.
