Hello!
Chest x-ray, chest computed tomography (CT), and positron emission tomography (PET) are available for the suspicion of lung cancer. I judge. There are two types of biopsy that can confirm lung cancer: sputum cytology, bronchoscopy, ultrasound bronchoscopy, fine needle aspiration, and mediastinal endoscopy. In pulmonary lymph node metastasis, biopsy is usually performed through ultrasound bronchoscopy. In the case of pulmonary metastasis, percutaneous needle aspiration (PCNA) or video assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) . In some cases, VATS may be performed and some thoracotomy may be performed if needed. Patients who are confirmed with lung cancer, including those with PET, are undergoing total bone scan, brain MRI, thoracic MRI, mediastinal endoscopy, and ultrasound bronchoscopy. If surgery is required, pre-operative tests such as blood tests, urinalysis, chest X-ray, electrocardiogram, and pulmonary function tests are required. (If necessary, an echocardiogram may be added.)
